Joël Champetier

Born November 30, 1957 in Lacorne (Abitibi, Quebec), Joël Champetier has been writing for over twenty years, amassing a body of work that includes fifteen novels with science-fiction/fantasy themes. His first fantasy book “La Mémoire du lac” won 1995's “Grand Prix de la science-fiction et du fantastique Québécois” and the “Aurora Prize” for best novel. Joël's second novel, “La peau blanche” was adapted for the big screen by Daniel Roby. “La taupe et le dragon” was translated in English and published in the United States as “The Dragon's Eyes”. Other than working as a novelist and screenwriter, Joël Champetier is the editor in chief for magazine “Solaris”.
