Couzin Films is a film, television and digital media company based in Montreal, Canada. Founded in 1997 by Ziad Touma, Couzin Films' mandate is to develop and produce high quality content in English and in French, which combines cultural diversity, artistic achievement and commercial viability.
In 2007-2008 alone, Couzin Films produced three projects including the feature film “Adam’s Wall”, which was released in Fall 2008, and is distributed nationally by Equinoxe Films, and internationally by Seville Pictures; a feature documentary for MusiquePlus, “Profession Veejay”; and the award winning short film “Birthday Girl” that was broadcast on CBC and Télé-Québec. In 2003, the theatrically distributed feature film “Saved by the Belles” that was broadcast on TMN, Showcase and SuperChannel/Movie Central, Super Écran and IFC, won several awards in festivals around the world and was nominated for three Canadian Genie Awards.
Currently, Couzin Films is in active development on over a dozen feature, television and digital media projects, ten of which have received development financing from the public and/or private sectors. Couzin Films is looking to finance its next projects on the international market, bringing its universal stories to worldwide audiences.
